Some time ago, we did a house swap with Ed and Tammy Peters who live in Hong Kong. This started a lifelong friendship. Ed, a journalist, sent this photo and shares his memory of Teewah.
One of the really lovely things about Teewah was pulling on a pair of shorts in the morning and barefooting it down to the beach .A perfectly routine activity for Aussies: a daring escapade for two northern Europeans. And once down there we’d speculate if we swam in a straight line where we’d get to. Brazil? And then there was usually something washed up on the beach. Still use the trowel we found. Happy days, as my grandmother used to say.
Thanks, Ed. And we still use the plastic crate you salvaged for us!
